Well tonight was one of the most spontaneously fun nights I've had in awhile.  Me, Bayne, and Christen convinced Carin and Derrick to come with us and we turned a unit meeting into a momentous occasion!  We walked around the graveyard behind Brock for awhile and then went into a field and layed under the stars telling jokes (well some of us tried to...cough Bayne cough), stories, and making strange animal noises.  Then we proceeeded to the tennis courts.  I honestly never knew that many people played tennis at 11 o'clock at night!  Christen enlightened us with "Time after Time" and then we decided to take a stroll to super rip for some cookie dough!!  Oh and we also were wrapped in our blankets the whole time so we looked pretty cool.  Then we went back to Carin's room and I cut open my pineapple that just happened to be in my room and we pigged out and watched Friends!!  Sigh...I love fun nights such as these but now I must shower, finish my homework, and get some sleep!!

Well I've definitely impressed myself by having everything cleaned up and put away last night.  It was a great feeling to be done.  Today was a beautiful warm day.  Missions conference has been wonderful as well, although it has been a little time consuming!  It's definitely gotten me thinking.  Hearing some stories about missionary's and martyr's and looking at pictures of soldiers helping...I've also been thinking about the Tsunami and of all the children that have lost their siblings, parents, maybe even their entire family.  I've been so caught up in myself and my soap opera of a break, and I just realized that I've been worrying too much about these issues in my life when there are people out there who are in more pain and suffering than I can imagine.

I hope everyone's break was delightful!  I know I was happy for the white Christmas!!  Anyways...a lot has happened since I last wrote, but my computer at home is struggling a bit so I didn't have the internet the whole break!  Break was better in some ways than I expected, yet a lot worse in other ways than I expected.  All in all though it was GREAT to take a break from all of the school work.  I definitely worked a lot just to see the money fly away to help pay for my school bill.  I did find it rather interesting how many people went shopping though under a level 2 AND 3 warning level for the dangerous roads.  I know the first thought in my head was...let's go shopping and put our children in danger!!  Unfortunately, someone had to be working when those crazy shoppers came around so I got to experience some interesting road conditions.  It was definitely exciting when all of the ice finally melted off the road and you actually had control of the car again!  Plus I was using my daddy's car which has...um...no wheel drive.  Oh well.  New Year's was definitely a fun time.  I went downtown with some friends and we ended up taking a dance class.  Well first of all I can officially check dancing off of my career list, second there were about 10 too many mirrors in the room, and third,  my tempo keeping abilities aren't too great.  It was definitely a fun experience though and it was ALL worth it to watch Jeannie to her little jig before the class started!!  I ended up getting home at about 5 and then went to work the next day and it was the longest 8 1/2 hour shift I'd had in a long time.  I was just a wee bit tired!  I have also officially quit my job at Kohl's...it's definitely a nice feeling!  I got back to school last night at around 10:30..a little later than I was shooting for originally but I wanted to finish my laundry and the dryer just kept on going and going until around 9:10 or so.  This morning was interesting though I searched for about 10 minutes for my contacts, which I didn't find until 3.  Then I went without them to chapel, I played some volleyball, and then walked in the rain to STAT class after forgetting my umbrella in chapel.  Hopefully things will straighten out soon.

So during the week I've thought about different things to post...but I didn't get around to it and now I definitely don't remember what it was.  It probably wasn't that interesting anyways...Let's see...oh, so I had to bring back my dad's car to school because we left our van (the car I use) at our grandparents and brought their enormous van back.  So I went to campus safety to see what I would have to do and they definitely charged my acccount.  I wasn't too thrilled about that considering I already paid to have my van registered so I'm taking up the same spot as before...even less space too!!  All I have to say is UGH...right MJ?!?!  Then I went out to the car  and the birds definitely slaughtered the car so I was going to go out yesterday and clean it off, but never got around to it...the thought of it was already making me nautious.  Luckily procrastination paid off and the rain washed it all away today!  Anyways...the schoolwork has not been happening so much these past 2 days.  I just can't seem to concentrate.  I was in Apple last night in the computer lab and someone turned the lights out.  I turned around to see what was happening and these 4 guys dressed in black had turned off the lights, shut the door, and just ran through the room and out the other door.  It was REALLY random!  OH and one of the guys had on these funky looking goggles with colored lights on it...moving on...thanksgiving break was nice.  I got to see Jenel (my friend from NY) whom I haven't seen for about 2 years.  Oh and while we were traveling we got into some HORENDOUS traffic and literally went one mile in one hour.  We were in park for a lot of the time.  There was a 5 car accident and one had caught on fire so he highway was shut down...it was bad.  Also, believe it or not, I did homework over break...not much but it is an improvement!  I also watched a quality Halmark movie, A Boyfriend For Christmas...it was definitely halmark, but it was decent.  Sorry for all the random thoughts...maybe I should ask Melissa how to better communicate my thoughts to everyone...

So last night I got almost 8 hours of sleep, but this morning was harder than most to get up!  Then I was struggling so much to stay awake and pay attention in class...someone please explain this to me!  I thought I was supposed to feel better after getting a good nights sleep!  Anyways, nothing too exciting has happend.  Let's see...I had an OT celebration that I felt pretty good about, but knowing me I probably missed some really easy questions!  I have an accounting exam tomorrow...I definitely need to get some studying in for that!  I also have some papers to write...so I have quite a bit to do, but all is well.

I also have to go home to work this weekend so I don't lose my job.  They called me and asked if I could work from 5:30am-1:30 the day after thanksgiving...hahahaha....why would you ask a college student to work at 5:30 AM???  Oh well, I'll be in NY so I couldn't have done it anways, thank you Jesus!  Speaking of Jesus...do you ever have those times when chapel speakers, your pastor, prof's, and where you're reading in the Bible ALL talk about the same things?!?  It's sweet when it happens, but it's usually something that hits home and you need to change.  Well its definitely been happening a lot to me recently...kinda crazy!  Anyways, I've gotta hit the books so I do well on my exam tomorrow!!!  Have a great thanksiving!
